The Golden SEKC

“Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established”. Proverbs 16:3 (NKJV)

The filipino missionaries who are assigned in south east Korea gathered together for Mission Day on February 2025 to carry out a variety of community and church-related activities in the designated location. Since most of the missionaries are gifted singers, I came up with the idea to form a singing group while serving as the group facilitator. That's why I called it "The Golden SEKC." We may utilize our voices to elevate Jesus to others.

It can be difficult to invite people to church in Korea because most people are Buddhist or no religion and everyone is busy, especially in rural areas. As anticipated, the filipino population in our neighborhood has not yet chosen whether to attend due to job obligations, but we were still hopeful as we continued to pray for our mini concert ministry.

On February 1, 2025, as missionaries prepared to begin the mini performance at Cheongsong SDA Church, we were shocked to see that not just three but thirty-five people showed up. Because of God's benevolence, we greeted them with open arms and tears in our eyes.

How wonderful it is to completely trust Jesus. I agree with Mrs. Ellen White’s words saying, “Here is faith, naked faith, to believe that we receive the blessing, even before we realize it.” EW.17.3. We are then to believe that we receive the blessing because our faith has held on to it, and according to the word, it is ours.

Prayer: Father in heaven, with a humble heart, I approach You. Please fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me let go of my uncertainties and anxieties. Remind me of Your unwavering love and increase my faith in Your character. Give me the ability to take comfort in knowing that You are constantly guiding me and to rest in Your promises. Amen.
