“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses.” (Acts 1:8)
Looking back on my years at Nabukgan SDA Church, I could honestly say my heart was full. From day one until those final months, seeing everything just hit different. God really moved in ways I never expected.

We started small—just around 7 to 10 people. By the end, the church had grown to more than 150 members. And not just that, a new church was planted in Sambag, where over 40 people were worshiping together. That alone showed how real God’s work was.
It wasn’t easy at all. There were struggles, doubts, and so many moments where all we could do was pray. But through it all, God provided and made a way every single time.

I was especially thankful for people like Tatay Mario and Tatay Junior. They stayed consistent and kept inviting others. Because of them, Tatay Beniris came to church for the first time—and he kept coming. Even their wives became strong witnesses, sharing what they learned with others.
One moment that really stayed with me was when I saw their wives casually sharing God’s truth during their everyday conversations. That was when I realized—this wasn’t just a mission anymore. They had become missionaries themselves.

At first, we were the ones reaching out. Later on, they were the ones continuing the work. Even with their struggles and limitations, they kept showing up and staying faithful. That kind of faith was something you couldn’t fake.
On my last Sabbath, during the farewell, someone said, “Even if you left, we would stay faithful.” That meant everything to me. I might not have had certificates or recognition but hearing that—that was the real reward.
Everything—the effort, the sacrifices, the sleepless nights—was worth it. Not for me, but for Jesus.
Serving alongside my partner also made a huge difference. We didn’t have much, but we gave what we could, and God used it. What we received from the mission, we passed on—and lives were changed.
I didn’t go there just to grow personally. I went so God could use my life to impact others. And that was what mission was really about.

My prayer was that they would stay strong, keep the faith, and continue sharing God’s love with others.
