My name is Lovelace Ebron from 1000 Missionary Movement (1000 MM). I was assigned to Takeo Adventist School in Cambodia in 2022, and until now, I have continued serving here as a missionary teacher. I teach English to primary, middle school, and high school students.

When I first came to Cambodia, I thought life here would be very different from the Philippines. However, as time passed, I realized that Cambodia is similar to my home country in many ways. I did not personally choose this place, but I truly believe that God chose this mission field for me.
I have been greatly blessed by the people around me. They are kind, hospitable, generous, and caring. Our school operates under the government system, and it is currently the only Adventist school in Cambodia under this setup.
Takeo Adventist School mainly serves underprivileged children. We prioritize students who are financially challenged, especially those from remote provinces and poor communities in Cambodia. Through education, we are given the opportunity to share the Word of God with them.

One of our school’s goals is that by the time students reach Grade 12, many of them will choose to be baptized and eventually become missionaries after graduation. Our school is called Caleb, which stands for Cambodia Adventist Lay Education Based.

Because of this mission, Bible classes are included in our curriculum. Even though many of our students come from Buddhist backgrounds, they still have the opportunity to learn about Jesus through these subjects. We also have a church inside the school campus and conduct activities that help nurture the students physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually.

Our school operates mainly through sponsorships and donations. Many of our students come from broken families and face financial struggles. Because of this, the school helps connect them with sponsors so they can continue their education.
Last month, by God’s grace, our school principal, Teacher Kim Donghyeuk, received a wonderful opportunity for our school choir to go on a mission trip to Korea through the Caleb Choir ministry. During our trip, we visited churches, hospitals, conferences, publishing houses, schools, and universities where we shared songs that inspired many people. We felt truly happy and blessed because we were also able to encourage others through our ministry.

One of the purposes of this mission trip was to seek more sponsors for our senior high school students so they can continue their college education and eventually join missionary work as well. Another goal was to raise support for building a library and media center for our school.
By God’s grace, the school is also planning to build a college at Takeo Adventist School in the future. This vision will help students continue their education without needing to travel far from home. It will provide them with a safe and Christ-centered environment where they can grow academically and spiritually. It is also our prayer that after graduation, they too will become future teachers, missionaries, and leaders who will inspire and educate the next generation.
With this, we humbly ask for your prayers for Takeo Adventist School—that God will continue to bless this ministry, provide for the needs of the school, and allow more students to experience a brighter future and come to know Jesus through Christian education.
